King Street Road Closure For Bridge Installation June 7th through June 19th

Due to construction activity related to the Stratford High School project, King Street south of Barnum Avenue (in the area of Stratford High School) will be closed to through traffic beginning at 3:00pm on June 7th and could remain closed through June 19th.  All places of Business and Residences in this area will remain accessible and open.  A road closure plan has been approved by the town and will remain in effect until this construction is completed.  If this work is completed prior to the 19th the road will be reopened sooner.

Questions about the closure can be addressed to Public Safety Consultant Larry Ciccarelli, lciccarelli@townofstratford.com

The pedestrian bridge that will connect the two halves of Stratford High School is scheduled to be lifted in place and installed over King Street on June 8th at 10:00am.  If you would like to observe the bridge installation, please remember that school is in session that day so parking lots at the school are off limits to the general public.
